The highest point ever reached by a Lamborghini.
Something that I didn’t know is that the Umling La Pass in India’s Ladakh region is 19,300 feet above sea level. That height puts it above the Everest Base Camp by almost 2,000 feet. Being so high up, the air is thin and cold, and wind speed varies from 25 to 50 mph. Essentially, this is one of the most challenging roads in the world. Lamborghini recently took their Lamborghini Urus SUV to the road to show that it could not only handle the weather conditions but also rough terrain. Not only did the Urus traverse the road, but it did so twice.

I would like to congratulate the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and its team on their remarkable achievement. When we reached Umling La Pass, even standing for 30 minutes was extremely difficult, and how the team completed the road in such extreme weather conditions is unimaginable. During the 87.5 km-long drive from Hanle to Umling La, Urus performed brilliantly under the Terra and Sport driving modes on a road that sits higher than the base camp of Mount Everest.”
