Lamborghini’s own racing driver pushes its new hybrid supercar to its limits.
The new Lamborghini Temerario boldly ushers in a new era for Lamborghini’s cherished legacy of supercars, with it replacing the V10-powered Huracán as the new entry-level supercar from Lamborghini, sporting a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine that can rev to an incredible 10,000 rpm, paired with a hybrid system to muster an incredible level of performance with over 900 horsepower. Along with its immense power, hybridization also offered the new Temerario other engineering benefits, like better structural rigidity and a larger interior thanks to a smaller engine.
With as much innovation as it has packed into an the new supercar, the new Lamborghini Temerario is practically begging for its incredible performance potential to be realized on the track by a skilled driver, and the driver who is up to the challenge is none other than Andrea Caldarelli, Lamborghini’s own Squadra Corse factory driver. Taking to the Misano Adriatico circuit, the new video called “The Red Zone” shows him putting the new Temerario to the test.
Part of that test is demonstrating the Temerario’s 0-60 time of less than 2.7 seconds, as well as showing off some of the Temerario’s driving modes, like Launch Control, prioritizing incredible acceleration, as well as Drift Mode, a mode with multiple intensity levels that allows the Temerario to kick the tail out for some controlled oversteer and drifting thrills. With a new video as proof, Andrea Caldarelli’s time behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Temerario proves how incredible it is to drive, as has been anticipated.
