Maserati shows off its automotive excellence in an automotive capital.
Besides being known as a luxury hub and a beautiful, historic, and glittering city-state along the Mediterranean coast, Monaco is known among automotive enthusiasts for being a capital for the world’s most desirable exotic cars, and one of the motorsport universe’s most premier and historic destinations. The Monaco Grand Prix is one of the most anticipated and revered races on the Formula 1 calendar, and in the all-electric Formula E series, the Monaco E-Prix follows suit with its prestige.
Maserati, a participant in the Formula E series and one of the brands on the 2025 Monaco E-Prix grid, and the historic manufacturer is also celebrating an incredible milestone next year: specifically, the 100th anniversary of its involvement in motor racing. In the lead-up to the centenary year, Maserati took the opportunity to use the legendary Monaco circuit as the setting for a spectacultar celebration.
The dramatic elevation changes and notoriously challenging twists of the Monaco street circuit made up the route for a Maserati Parade during the E-Prix weekend, in which a convoy of legends from throughout Maserati’s rich history, like the 250 F F1 car, the MC12 that achieved icon status in both the racing and supercar worlds, and Maserati’s current icons like the MC20 supercar, the Maserati GT2 race car based on it, and the road-legal GT2 Stradale. The customer Maserati MCXtrema track car and the all-electric Maserati GranCabrio Folgore took part in the parade, as well. With a rich history of automotive creations in the parade, Maserati celebrated its incredible heritage at this year’s Monaco E-Prix.
