With the ever-increasing power levels of exotic cars, racing in the 1/4 mile is a fool’s errand. That’s why our friend Brooks at Dragtimes took two of his prized possessions down to the Everglades. It was the setting of the recent WannaGoFast event, which draws exotic cars and spectators from around the U.S. For a quick refresher, the Ford is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5L V6 making 647 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. The McLaren 720S doesn’t have a selection process to purchase one, and it uses a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 to offer 710 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque. The trick is, McLaren tests their engines in the worst conditions, so real-world horsepower is much higher.
