Mercedes dials the new AMG GT up to 11.
The new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe transforms the brand’s high-performance icon, restyling it, adding a variety of powertrains, and even providing optional 2+2 seating for greater everyday usability and practicality. However, yet another new variant of the Mercedes-AMG GT has been unveiled at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed: the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+.
The “Pro” moniker denotes that, while based on the Mercedes-AMG GT 63, it’s further honed for on-track performance excellence. As such, it features 26 more horsepower than the standard GT 63, totaling 603 horsepower and 627 lb/ft of torque (a 37-lb/ft increase from the standard car), and it can reach a top speed of 197 mph.
The new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO also features revised cooling, a racing-focused interior, carbon ceramic brakes with special 21-inch wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, and more aggressive aerodynamics, including a fixed rear wing and solutions inspired by the radical Mercedes-AMG ONE. With its estimated 3.1-second 0-60 time, increased power, and racing-focused performance, the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ is AMG’s latest advanced track-focused machine.
