Mercedes-Benz reveals its newest take on open-top luxury.
Mercedes-Benz recently revealed the new CLE Coupe, designed to replace both the C-Class and E-Class coupes as an elegant and luxurious two door like the many that the historic luxury manufacturer is known for. However, the CLE also had the job of replacing the C-Class and E-Class convertibles, and it’s delivered on that front, as Mercedes-Benz is fully revealing the new CLE Convertible for 2024, starting with Europe, and arriving to other markets soon thereafter.
With the new CLE Convertible, Mercedes-Benz aimed to let drivers enjoy the open-top nature of a convertible all year, rather than only when it’s warm enough. This is done through technologies that Mercedes-Benz has coined AIRCAP and AIRSCARF. The former uses front and rear wind deflectors to keep the cabin serene when the top is down, and the latter delivers heating to occupants focused on the neck area, even when it might be cold and windy.
The soft-top is also designed for quiet driving, and it opens and closes in 20 seconds, at speeds of up to 37 mph, with quiet, fully-electric movement. Showcasing incredible attention to detail, the leather seats are treated in order to remain cool in sunlight, and the difference can be over 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
With sporty and luxurious character simultaneously, a high-tech, comfortable open-top driving experience, and stylish offerings inside and out, the new Mercedes-Benz CLE Convertible is here, and it’s ready to continue the historic brand’s long legacy of elegant, luxurious open-top machines.
