One of the most versatile van staples is making a big change.
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is one of the most ubiquitous and versatile vans in the automotive world, and it serves as the basis for an incredibly vast range of creations, from executive limousines, to motorhomes, commercial vehicles, and even more.
However, as the automotive industry is transforming before our eyes, so is the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, which will now be available as an all-electric van, the eSprinter. With electrification being at the forefront of many manufacturers’ future strategies and forward-looking plans, Mercedes-Benz has included its staple van in the sweeping transformation of its lineup.
With up to 329 estimated miles of range with the largest available battery, Mercedes-Benz promises that despite its use of an electric drivetrain rather than the combustion-powered predecessors, the Sprinter will continue to live up to its long-standing reputation of dependability and utility, along with offering 488 cubic feet of storage space, and a total weight capacity of 9,370 lbs.
When it comes to the new Mercedes-Benz eSprinter, the manufacturer’s confidence in its iconic workhorse is unwavering, with Mercedes-Benz offering a service package that covers the first four services within four years or 100,000 miles, and a battery warranty that covers 8 years or 100,000 miles guaranteeing the battery will have at least 70% of its capacity by the end, with an additional certificate available that extends the warranty by another 85,000 miles, bringing the potential total to 185,000 miles.
The new Mercedes-Benz eSprinter is set to revolutionize the van world and one of its most unmistakable icons, and it’s already available to order at U.S. Mercedes-Benz dealerships. It starts at $71,866, and it’s set to make a big impact in various transportation realms.
