Ducati’s made a shocking announcement.
Known for fast and beautiful two-wheeled Italian machines, Ducati is a brand known for uncompromised passion and speed when it comes to the motorbike world, which is why it’s incredibly exciting news that Ducati has announced the brand’s first electric bike, and the prototype is codenamed: V21L. The creation and development of the bike features never-seen-before technology in the battery pack, motor, and inverter, and is the result of intense collaboration between Ducati and Ducati Corse.
The prototype Ducati MotoE weighs a scant 496 pounds, and with 150 horsepower and 103 lb/ft of torque, it can reach speeds of up to 171 mph, especially when it’s taken onto a track. Speaking of which, Ducati has also announced that this new electric bike will be the star of the new FIM MotoE™ World Cup as the sole supplier of 18 electric bikes. Once the race is done, the advanced cooling technology means that the battery can be charged the minute it gets back in the garage, and the battery charges 80% to 45 minutes. With fast charging and faster performance, the new Ducati MotoE is raring to take the track by storm.
