While brands like LVMH (-16% YTD) and Porsche (-26%) have faced challenges, others such as Ferrari (+27%) have outperformed, much like Hermès (+16%) in the fashion world.
These two leaders in their respective industries exemplify a shift toward exclusivity, personalization, and unparalleled customer experience pillars that define the future of luxury. This phenomenon is not just about scarcity but about delivering unmatched quality, personalization, status, access, and performance. Industry leaders are taking notes and embracing similar strategies to captivate discerning clientele.

2024: A Year Of Achievements
This year, we have made significant strides solidifying our position as an industry leader and transforming our customers’ journeys.
Content and Community Leadership: We acquired Petrolicious, the premier video production company for vintage and classic cars, further enhancing our storytelling capabilities.
Strategic Investments: The Ferrari Family Trust’s investment in Cavallino validated our experiential strategy. Cavallino is part of Canossa Events, which organizes hundreds of events globally.
Enhanced Dealer and Customer Services: We expanded our offerings with Finance, Insurance, Vehicle Service Contracts, and Shipping to create seamless ownership experience.
Auction Success: Sotheby’s Motorsport achieved new milestones with more than $40M in sales at an average GMV of more than $200,000.
Transactional Growth: We transacted for hundreds of millions of dollars in car sales at duPont REGISTRY, acquiring cars from our private sellers and dealers and ensuring a vibrant market.

In 2025, we celebrate 40 years of duPont REGISTRY—an iconic brand that began as a classified magazine and has since evolved into a cornerstone of the luxury and exotic car industry. As I flipped through the pages of our inaugural issue, I was reminded of our deep roots in showcasing the finest brands, a tradition we will honor throughout our anniversary celebrations.
We will accelerate this year by executing our vision:
