In a momentous display of heritage and innovation, 110 Aston Martin cars took to the Silverstone Circuit, marking the brand’s 110th anniversary. The impressive lineup, a new record for the most Aston Martins on track at once, celebrated the past, present, and future of this iconic British brand. The event paid tribute to Aston Martin’s rich history, dating back to 1913 when founders Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford established their partnership.
Among the 110 sportscars were historic models such as the A3, the oldest surviving Aston Martin car, the legendary DB3S driven by renowned British drivers of the 1950s, the iconic DB5 synonymous with James Bond, the groundbreaking Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar, and the world’s fastest SUV, the DBX707. The parade also featured the official Aston Martin Vantage FIA Safety Car and the DBX707 Medical Car, highlighting the brand’s commitment to high-performance products both on the road and the track.
Simultaneously, Aston Martin marked the occasion by officially opening the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team Technology Campus. The state-of-the-art 400,000 square-foot facility, located at Silverstone, hosted the 110 paraded cars and enthusiasts who had the opportunity to explore Aston Martin’s unique collection. This milestone reflects the brand’s dedication to cutting-edge technology and innovation.
Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin, expressed his enthusiasm for the celebratory event: “We promised that 2023, Aston Martin’s 110th anniversary year, would be a monumental one for the brand. In a season where Aston Martin has emerged as a force in Formula One, there is no better place or time for our celebrations than our home race at Silverstone.”
As Aston Martin continues its 110th-anniversary festivities, the brand has also announced the upcoming unveiling of a highly exclusive, limited-edition model later this month. This exciting addition promises to further captivate Aston Martin enthusiasts and collectors worldwide. The breathtaking display of 110 Aston Martins at the British Grand Prix showcased the brand’s enduring legacy and its commitment to pushing boundaries in the world of luxury high-performance sports cars. With a successful Formula One team and a focus on innovative technology, Aston Martin continues to captivate automotive enthusiasts worldwide, ensuring its place as a symbol of British excellence for another century to come.
