Before almost every car went with giant turbos on small V8s, BMW offered a race-bred V10 in their M5 and M6. Competitors like the RS6 and the Gallardo also fought for ten-cylinder dominance, but BMW pulled out all the stops. The feeling of solid-tappet cams and individual intakes can be punctuated by a single-clutch SMG transmission, but a few made it here with six-speed sticks. This masterpiece could also be found in the M6 convertible and the M5 Sedan, and they are a bargain compared to late models.
