Bridgestone just unveiled its replacement for its all-season Turanza QuietTrack tire. Now called the Turanza Prestige, as its name implies, the brand built this new all-season tire with premium vehicles in mind. These include sedans and SUVs from Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz.
At launch, Bridgestone plans to offer 18 fitments with H, V, and W speed ratings in diameters ranging from 17 to 20 inches. Compared to its predecessor, the Turanza Prestige claims 44 percent better wear mileage, while according to Bridgestone, it also outperforms the competing Pirelli P7AS Plus 3 by up to 13 percent.
Being a flagship offering, the Turanza Prestige aims to blend a quiet on-road experience with improved wet-weather performance. According to Bridgestone’s head-to-head tests, it out braked its Pirelli rival in wet conditions, besting it by 7 percent. The Prestige achieves this by adding extra shoulder sipes alongside widened center ribs and grooves that follow a zig-zag pattern. These not only help expel the water but also aim to eliminate vibrations from the road.

According to Dale Harrigle, Bridgestone Americas’ Chief Engineer, Consumer Replacement Tire Development, “The inclusion of our patented PeakLife polymer and ENLITEN technology delivers an uncompromised grand touring experience with our 70,000-mile warranty.”
The Turanza Prestige is the latest Bridgestone tire incorporating the brand’s ENLITEN technology. Introduced in 2019, ENLITEN is a unique compound that makes tires more durable and lighter. In the case of EVs, it can be applied to reduce rolling resistance does maxing a vehicle’s range.
Following today’s announcement, Bridgestone plans to begin sales of the Turanza Prestige on March 1st, with this latest addition to the brand’s lineup backed by its 70,000-mile limited warranty.
