Starting his automotive career working with prominent brands like Renault and Lamborghini, Horacio Pagani’s true vision was to change the entire industry as an Italian specialty automaker. Fast forward, Pagani Automobili is now one of the most successful hypercar manufacturers alongside leaders such as Bugatti and Koenigsegg. Pagani’s coveted Zonda model is marking a milestone, approaching the 25th anniversary of its debut as one of the world’s most influential hypercars. Pagani Automobili celebrates its past by highlighting a very special Zonda S configuration on its Instagram page. This Pagani Zonda S holds monumental significance being the first to feature fully exposed carbon fiber bodywork throughout its timeless shape.
Along with its state-of-the-art lightweight construction and finish, the most special part of the Zonda S is that it was once Horacio Pagani’s personal car. Inside the Zonda S, Horacio styled the driver-oriented cabin in two-tone beige and grey leather, with soft grey Alcantara and gloss carbon fiber layering the trim. A Mercedes-Benz M120 V12 engine powered the Pagani Zonda, delivering over 547 horsepower and 553 foot-pounds of torque through a 6-speed manual transmission. Horacio used his Zonda S as one of the pioneering test mules to help perfect future examples, accumulating over 45k miles on it over many years. While Pagani Automobili leads the way for the future of hypercar design and performance, the brand continues to reflect on the humble beginnings that shaped it into a powerhouse.
