Drako Motors, a Silicon Valley-based supercar maker, has just announced their first limited production electric supercar: the Drako GTE. But this is no normal electric supercar, it’s a four-door GT supercar that Drako says is the most “powerful GT car ever made.”
What makes it hold such a title? It all starts with the quad electric motor architecture that pumps out an astonishing 1,200 horsepower and 6,491 lb-ft of torque. That monstrous amount of power can propel the GTE in a lightning fashion towards its top speed of 206 mph.
Each motor is connected to its own wheel through direct-drive gearboxes, allowing power to be distributed to the right wheel at the right time. Drako’s torque vectoring algorithms can actually adjust positive and negative torque for each wheel over 1,000-times per second. That’s a recipe for a track monster.

Drako has also equipped the GTE with what they call “Quattro Manettino,” a system that controls the supercar’s powertrain. This includes its torque-vectoring level, power distribution and regenerative braking. Four switches found on the console make up the controls for this system. There’s also the ability to choose between six different road surface conditions: Race, Track, Dry, Rain, Snow and Ice.
Inside, the Drako GTE has room for four passengers, as well as their luggage. Being a luxury car, it has plenty of fine materials, like hand-stitched leather and Alcantara. Owners of the car can also configure their cabin to their liking, thanks to a wide selection of colors, finished and materials.
Only 25 examples of the Drako GTE will be created, each with a $1.25 million base price. You can place your order and deposits now, and expect delivery in 2020.
