In between conference calls he has carved a niche into the attic of his antique home. “For me, this is both a retreat and a source of inspiration. I can try out new lines here, think about new themes and develop fresh ideas. The studio in the attic is warm and suffused with light. In as much as possible, his latest inspirations come from a close-knit group of friends. His circle includes artists, musicians, writers, and freelancers. He also owns a cabin in the Alps when he really needs to practice social distancing. “Although it gets quite cool here at times in April, I do enjoy the evenings up here”. In the garage is a restored classic Porsche 911, but the real treat is in the basement. His current project is an original Bugatti Type 35 that inspires his love for the brand. Although he needs a few more pieces, the world will have to wait until it is on the road again.
