The next chapter for Kith x BMW.
With an illustrious history of engineering some of the most legendary cars to ever touch race tracks and public roads, BMW continues its ongoing legacy with timeless icons that influence modern models. And while its latest and greatest offerings come packed with plenty of power and tech, a worldwide community of purists shares a passion for those pioneering cars that help to shape the brand into what it is today. It’s a daily driven lifestyle for collectors like Kith founder Ronnie Fieg, who has and continues to inspire his high-end streetwear collections with cars like the famous BMW E30 M3. Since making waves in the car and streetwear worlds with his personal Kith x BMW E30 M3 build, Ronnie is back at it as he recently took to Instagram to show off his one-off 1981 BMW M1 E26.
Designed by Italian designer Giogetto Giugiaro, the BMW M1 first made its debut to the automotive world in 1978 with its iconic wedge-shape style and six-cylinder mid-engine. Although only 453 units were ever produced between 1978 and 1981, the M1’s ingenious powertrain even made an appearance in the McLaren F1. Ronnie teamed up with BMW to rebuild the M1, using original parts from BMW’s archives while adding his own creative spin. For this project, he chose to coat the iconic M1 in one of BMW’s best colors, Techno Violet. It also features custom Kith M-Series badges on the rear decklid and door sills, along with an interior decked out in BMW Individual Grey Merino Leather. The leather is embossed with Kith’s monogram across the seats, headrests, gear shift, floor mats, and door panels.
The one-of-a-kind Kith x BMW M1 will be showcased alongside Ronnie Fieg’s collection of custom BMWs at the Kith for BMW 2024 Showcase in Miami on December 6th, on the 7th floor of the 1111 Lincoln Rd parking garage. View all BMW M1 examples for sale on duPont REGISTRY by clicking the link below.
