Conceived by Lamborghini's Head of Design, the Concept S began life as a non-running design study for future plans. The vision behind the project presents a split cabin configuration of the Lamborghini Gallardo with a lowered windshield to achieve a roadster look and feel. The idea was to offer a limited production of 100 cars to Lamborghini's VIP clientele but was cut in 2006 due to the complicated production process and extreme costs. That leaves this to be the only Lamborghini Concept S in the world as chassis #001, featuring only 140 miles on the odometer from new. This model was also displayed on the Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance Concept Lawn in 2006.
