Exploring state-of-the-art designs and complex movement technology, Patek Philippe celebrates Watches & Wonders 2023 by unveiling a diverse selection of new luxury timepieces. While we are all accustomed to models like the Nautilus, the renowned Swiss watchmaker is proud to shed light on its Grand Complication and Complication Collections with updates to the Grand Master Chime, Calatrava, and Aquanaut. From breathtaking hand-painted dials to exquisite gem-set bezels, this year’s carefully curated exhibition of 2023 Patek Philippe watches will excite all collectors and enthusiasts.

Grand Complications

The idea of Grand Complications dates back to Patek Philippe’s humble beginnings as a watchmaker that challenged itself to push the boundaries of design. Fitting pieces with over 20 complications, the brand continues to see success in its strategy as historic examples fetch well into the seven figures at auctions around the world. This year, Patek Philippe expands its lineup with two variations of the double-faced 6300 Grand Master Chime, a platinum 5316 Minute Repeater, a white gold 5531 World Time Minute Repeater, and a 5178 Minute Repeater with a flinqué blue Grand Feu enamel dial. Using a combination of precious metals and intricate dials, Patek Philippe equips each exclusive piece with high-caliber movements that execute precision and accuracy throughout their multitude of functions.

Complications

Combining the best characteristics of Patek Philippe’s innovative technology, its complication category tackles a range of tasks specialized for pilots and world travelers. Patek Philippe is expanding its range of travel watches with the new rose gold Calatrava 5224 24-hour display, two white gold 5924 Flyback Chronographs, and a rose gold 5905 Flyback Chronograph with an Annual Calendar. The creative professionals at Patek Philippe listen to the feedback of their passionate clients by offering the 2023 releases in breathtaking grey, blue, and green dial configurations. Patek Philippe adds comfort by fitting the new models with unique leather straps that match the styling of its case and dial combination.

Calatrava

The sport-inspired Calatrava Collection also received design and caliber improvements from Patek Philippe, showcasing three new white gold variations. Enhanced with ebony black dials that feature three types of finishes, each Calatrava is distinguished with red, yellow, and light blue accents. At the heart of the entirely polished white gold case beats self-winding caliber 26-330 S C with the date at 3 o’clock and stop seconds. The carbon weave pattern presented on the dial is replicated on the calfskin leather strap, which also includes an inner lining that matches the color choice of the Calatrava.

Aquanaut

Finally, Patek Philippe pays homage to its marine-inspired sport models by reimagining the Aquanaut in three astonishing rose gold examples. The Aquanaut 5968R Chronograph combines a vibrant sunburst brown dial with the self-winding flyback chronograph movement, indicating central chronograph seconds on a perfectly placed subdial. The Aquanaut Luce Collection stands out as the lady’s lineup for 2023. The 5261R Annual Calendar’s contemporary style utilizes a blue-gray dial and composite strap with an Aquanaut pattern. The 5268/200R time-only version gains its luxurious touch from a polished bezel set with a row of 48 diamonds.
