McLaren 720S GT3X

The new McLaren 720S GT3X is what happens when an automaker that creates race cars wants to break the rules. More specifically, the 720S GT3X is the GT3 car but without the rules and limitations that the racing series slaps on. While it looks similar to the GT3 car, thanks to the aero packages, it’s what’s inside that makes this supercar so insane. First up is the power M840T 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine which has been increased to 720 horsepower. Rob Bell, a McLaren Factory Driver, notes in the video up above that this car has been given an extra 200 hp and it truly brings the GT3X to a new level. An extra 30 hp can be added with the press of the “Push-to-pass” button. Other modifications include the bigger turbos, bigger manifolds, upgrade cooling system and more. Another very awesome addition is the fact that this 720S GT3X can seat more than one person. Yes, the driver can take a passenger out for a spin.
Porsche 911 GT3 Cup

Their latest race car from Stuttgart embarked on a tour of Europe. From Monza, the team headed to Lausitzring and the Nürburgring with feedback from Porsche drivers young and old. The most intense testing came at Oschersleben when the GT Racing program simulated a complete weekend of competition. Officially rated at 530 horsepower, Chevy dropped a 2.9-liter blower onto a 350 inch LT1. The result is a beast that spins a TH400 transmission to nearly 10,000 rpm. Although aimed at NHRA super stock teams, it would be a blast to beat up on late models and super modifieds all day long.
Mustang Cobra Jet
$130,000 :: 760 Horsepower
The new Mustang Cobra Jet packs a supercharged 5.2 liter (Godzilla) V8 with your choice of transmission. The rear is, of course, a 9″ from Strange which is bolted to a 4-link. The press release says the prototype ran a mid-8 second quarter-mile, going thru the lights at 150 mph! Only 68 examples will be assembled this year, a reference to the year the car was introduced.
Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock
$81,090 :: 808 Horsepower
Due to the extensive modifications to the Challenger Hellcat Redeye, Dodge announced that only 200 examples of the Super Stock will be offered. Each one will have 807 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque for only $81,090. It will arrive with all their drag racing technology like the Power Chiller, Launch Assist, and adjustable suspension modes.
Pagani Huayra R
$3,100,000 :: 850 Horsepower
“The new engine had to have the charm, romance, sound and simplicity of the F1 engines of the 1980s, while incorporating state-of-the-art technology available today.” Horacio Pagani Weight was a critical aspect, so instead of the chassis supporting the engine, the engine forms the backbone of the car’s rear suspension. Even dealing with this additional stress it only tips the scales at 436 lbs. So you will have the weight of a V6 with 850 horsepower at 8,250 rpm. Between 5,500 and 8,300 you will have 553 lb-ft of torque, no turbos or supercharger required. Such high-strung machines normally need intense maintenance after each race, but Pagani says it only needs to be inspected every 6,000 milesBrowse.
Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo

The first Huracán Super Trofeo was presented in 2014, replacing the Gallardo as the car of choice in Lamborghini’s single-make championship in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The following year, the Huracán GT3 made its debut, marking Lamborghini’s official entry into GT racing. Over the next six seasons, the Huracán GT3, and its successor the GT3 Evo, have won nearly 100 races, including the prestigious Daytona 24 Hours a record three consecutive times. The GT3 Evo has also won the coveted Sebring 12 Hours twice as well as the “triple crown” of the GT World Challenge Europe in 2019. In 2020 alone, the Huracán GT3 Evos were represented by 24 different teams, in 15 national and international championships and covered a total of 20,000km across 88 different drivers.
Ferrari 488 Challenge

The 488 Challenge is the first Challenge car equipped with a turbo engine. It is the most powerful car in the Challenge history thanks to 670 hp from the V8 3.9-liter engine derived from the 488 GTB, winner of the International engine of the Year Award in 2016. The most noticeable changes to the 488 Challenge compared to the production car regard the aerodynamics. To achieve the technical objective of increasing the car’s aero efficiency while respecting the design, the engineers worked closely with the Ferrari Styling Centre. The body of the 488 has been designed to increase downforce by 50% over the 458 while reducing aerodynamic drag. Underbody vortex generators work to reduce air pressure beneath the car thereby increasing overall downforce.

In order to clinch the GT1 world championship, they designed a striking race car. But in order to be able to compete, 50 street-legal versions had to be sold to the public. McLaren Senna GTR

McLaren has announced that the Senna GTR will be capable of generating 2,205 lbs of downforce. That’s almost like setting a Mazda Miata on top of the car. This amount of downforce is possible thanks in part to the large front splitter, rear diffuser, and repositioned rear wing. Powering the car is the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine found in the Senna. However, the Senna GTR will have an additional 25 bhp when compared to the base Senna. When you combine the aerodynamics, lightweight, suspension, chassis, and everything else in the car, you get one of the meanest track cars McLaren has ever created. McLaren created just 75 examples at around $1.4 million plus taxes.
