Toyota has talked to DailySportsCar.com regarding more specifics on their racing division’s upcoming arrival in the LMDH and LMH classes for the International Supermodified Association (IMSA) racing. Toyota Gazoo Racing (Toyota GR) has its eyes set on releasing the hypercar on infamous grids such as Daytona for the 24-hour race, as well as hopes to see Le Mans in 2022. The current shutdown had delayed part production on some of the vehicles, but Toyota believes that they will see their tires touch the track in October 2020. In a class full of technologically advanced hypercars that are constructed to take the abuse of racing for 24 hours straight, we would love to see Toyota’s participation and added competition to the grid.
