Zenvo Automotive has announced an exciting commercial partnership with MAHLE Powertrain to develop the world’s most potent road-going V12 engine, a landmark achievement set for the upcoming Zenvo Aurora. This groundbreaking powertrain isn’t a race engine adapted for the road; it’s designed from scratch for road use to deliver unparalleled performance.
With a capacity of 6.6 liters, the quad-turbocharged V12 engine will churn out a staggering 1250bhp at 8,000 rpm and rev to 9800 rpm, producing a unique sound signature unmatched by any other engine. Importantly, the engine’s design ensures optimal drivability and future environmental credentials, with an additional 600 horsepower electrical hybrid power to boost the total output to 1850 horsepower.
Constructed with all aluminum and enhanced by Zenvo’s carbon fiber expertise, the engine delivers a compact and lightweight unit, perfect for the Aurora set to launch on August 18th. Additionally, the V12 has been designed for modularity, paving the way for high-performance V8 and V6 derivatives for future Zenvo models, with potential availability as crate engines for OEMs.
Zenvo’s CCO and chairman of the board, Jens Sverdrup, shares the excitement, labeling the V12 as the “pinnacle of powertrains” for supercars and hypercars. MAHLE Powertrain representative, John Hollingworth, hails the partnership as a beacon of cutting-edge engine technology, aimed at stirring the emotions of every Aurora driver. Stay tuned for more updates on this spectacular union of power and performance.
