Italy’s hypercar artist honors the force behind its engines.
Pagani’s hypercars are known and celebrated around the world for a variety of reasons: their unique design, stunning engineering, luxurious craftsmanship, and of course, their amazing V12 engines. These powerful engines and their unique, instantly recognizable exhaust notes represent a dying breed and the pinnacle of desirability in the automotive world, and since the beginning of Pagani’s 25-year history, the manufacturer’s engines have come from AMG, the Mercedes-Benz performance powerhouse.
Each Pagani houses a hand-built Mercedes-AMG-derived V12 engine, crafted by a single person, with the skill and dedication that has created an incredible legacy for both AMG and Pagani. In a new post on Instagram, Pagani pays homage to the long-standing partnership with AMG that has been crucial to its success since the beginning of its history and the first Zonda, quoting an Italian saying: “Squadra che vince non si cambia,” which translates to “Never change a winning team.”
25 years after Pagani and AMG’s partnership first began, the two remain close collaborators, providing the engines for Pagani’s newest creations: the Utopia and Imola Roadster. As the automotive industry transforms and technology changes and evolves, partnerships like that between Pagani and AMG will hopefully continue to dedicate themselves to performance and the joy of driver-focused machines with incredible craftsmanship.
