There are certain models that we can expect when a new generation of the Porsche 911 is released. For instance, you can always count on a Cabriolet, Turbo and usually a GT2 or GT3 variant. Another that has recently become a mainstay is the Targa, the iconic 911 variant that was introduced back in the 1960s. While the 992 generation has been out for some time, we haven’t seen a Targa variant but now we know it’s coming soon. Porsche recently uploaded a video to YouTube that teases the new 2021 911 Targa. In the video, we learn that the new Targa was to be unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show, but that event has since been canceled. They then planned on the unveiling to happen at the Tennis Grand Prix. Again, canceled. Then it was onto the unveiling happening at the Porsche Museum. Guess what? That was temporarily closed. So, Porsche is planning on the new 911 Targa to be unveiled in a digital space on May 18, 2020. Stay with us for more information as it’s revealed.
