The first hybrid roadgoing Porsche 911 wows at Goodwood.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the most exciting annual automotive events, and this year’s iteration has just ended. Porsche showcased the latest generation of the 911 at the event, and front and center is the new 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, the first hybrid roadgoing version of one of the world’s most legendary supercars. However, Porsche’s automotive futurism and driver’s car excellence were showcased in full, with many of Porsche’s latest and greatest creations being shown at the prestigious event.
The Taycan Turbo GT, the most extreme performance-oriented version of the all-electric Taycan, and the new electric Porsche Macan showcased Porsche’s pioneering performance luxury electrification. With purist driver’s car appeal, the Porsche 911 S/T was also shown off at Goodwood this year.
Just as the manufacturer celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911 last year, it also celebrated 50 years of the Porsche Turbo moniker this year. As such, Porsche displayed a range of its Turbo vehicles throughout its history, including the 1988 911 Turbo 3.3 Coupe, 911 Turbos from the 993 and 996 eras, and a Cayenne Turbo.
Celebrating its futuristic electrified creations, its modern purist driver’s cars, and the half-century-long legacy of Porsche’s Turbo lineup, the Goodwood Festival of Speed served as a venue for some of the historic brand’s best creations from the past and present alike.
