Debuting the all-new 2024 718 Spyder RS as its 493 horsepower track-focused soft top, Porsche is continuing the evolution of its performance fleet. The newest addition joins the RS lineup and compliments Porsche’s race-inspired lifestyle. In perfect Porsche fashion, the timepiece experts at Porsche Design are quick to follow up the monumental news with a commemorative chronograph, available exclusively for buyers of the Porsche 718 Spyder RS. The new Porsche Design 718 Spyder RS Chronograph features a lightweight 42mm black titanium case, handcrafted in the Porsche watch factory in Solothurn, Switzerland. A metal-matching tachymeter bezel resembles the speedometer of the open-top RS.
Incorporating premium materials used in the production of Porsche’s new 718 Spyder RS, the Chronograph’s dial is made from carbon fiber and showcases a stunning weave pattern. The vibrant yellow seconds hand stands out for the driver looking to track lap times using its flyback chronograph functions. While Porsche’s 718 Spyder RS is powered by a 4.0L Flat-Six engine, the Porsche Design fits its Chronograph with an in-house Caliber WERK 01.240. Visible from the sapphire backcase, the movement sits just behind a 718 Spyder RS wheel rotor with an “RS” end cap. Launched on a leather and alcantara strap with the 718 Spyder RS logo, the special edition watch is open for further customization through the Porsche Design configurator. The all-new Porsche Design 718 Spyder RS Chronograph is now available for those with a Porsche 718 Spyder RS allocation.
