Porsche brings even more high-tech luxury to its lineup.
With over 75 years of legacy in creating some of the world’s most desirable and celebrated luxury performance cars, Porsche has long been a pioneer in combining driving joy with innovative technology, elegant design, and supple luxury features. However, new enhancements are still arriving to Porsche models in order to keep the cherished manufacturer on the cutting-edge of in-car technology, including its recently-announced improvements to its digital user experience.
Introduced for the 2026 model year 911, Taycan, Panamera and Cayenne models, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system has been revised to include a whole host of new features and integrations, making driving a Porsche even easier than before, on top of Porsche’s existing expertise in performance, luxury, engineering and technology.
The improvements include upgraded hardware, which not only improves the responsiveness of the system and increases its computing power, but also grants the system access to a new group of third-party apps through the new Porsche App Center, initially introduced on the Macan Electric, that can run natively on the system. To take advantage of this ability, model year 2026 cars will begin to offer the Porsche Connect package as standard.
In addition, Amazon Alexa can now be used as a digital assistant in new Porsches, integrating voice control for smart home features and all of the other benefits that Amazon Alexa offers. Enhancing the sound experience in new Porsche models is the introduction of Dolby Atmos to sound technology to the new system, combining the high-tech sound experience with Porsche’s Bose and Burmester sound systems to unlock a new level of listening luxury. With a host of new technology, Porsche’s update to its PCM system has made the ownership experience of a Porsche even better.
