The very first GKA Big Air World Championships were held in Tarifa recently, and at the event, kitesurfers attain impressive heights and pull off impossible tricks. Liam Whaley competed in the Twin-Tip men’s category as one of 24 of the world’s best kitesurfers competing for the world title. In the final, Whaley competed against his Duotone teammate from Italy and earned second place by just a fraction after landing incredible jumps and reaching heights of over 65 feet. After earning the title of vice world champion, Whaley’s season continues with events in the Netherlands, Denmark, and Cape Town, South Africa for the Red Bull King of the Air 2022. This incredible success is just the beginning for both Liam Whaley and the future of Porsche’s involvement in windsurfing.
