The new design of the Porsche 99X Electric was created exclusively for the Formula E races in the South Korean capital.
As the Porsche Formula E team continues its push towards the end of the 2022 season, sight sets on the final round of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The team preps for the finale by learning the track and improving performance, but also introducing a completely new livery design. In collaboration with its partners at TAG Heuer, Porsche Formula E is proud to debut a stealth-like race livery with inspiration from the all-new Connected Caliber 4 Porsche Edition smartwatch. Porsche and TAG Heuer are excited to showcase two world premiers at the Seoul E-Prix circuit. The two Porsche 99X Electric race cars will feature a new and exclusive design unveiled at an event in the SJ Kunsthalle in the trendy district of Chengdam-dong. The body of the innovative electric racing car from Weissach, which clinched its first Formula E victory in Mexico City this season, mirrors the colors of the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 – Porsche Edition: frozen blue and black.

The electric frozen blue shade adds contrast to the robust matte black finish, which comes directly from the all-electric Porsche Taycan. The graphic elements of the design reflect the pit boards, speed, and progress while drawing attention to the lights of Seoul. The head-turning color combination comes as inspiration from the TAG Heuer x Porsche Connected watch, a staple model for the brand as its entry example into the world of luxury smartwatches. The two Porsche 99X Formula E race cars driven by André Lotterer (GER/#36) and Pascal Wehrlein (GER/#94) will take on the Seoul E-Prix event on 13 and 14 August featuring the all-new design.
