The Porsche 911 is undoubtedly one of, if not the most legendary sports car in existence. 60 years of history as one of the most iconic, fun to drive, and well-engineered performance cars ever are just part of the 75 years of history that Porsche boasts as a manufacturer, and in order to celebrate multiple parts of that long and beautiful history, Porsche Classic created a special one-off car dedicated to the Porsche Club of America: the 911 Classic Club Coupe.
The car started life in 1998 as a 996-generation Porsche 911 Carrera, a milestone generation of the car as it was the first to make the switch from air-cooled to water-cooled engines, a very important designation for any 911 fan. Inspired by other heritage-inspired 911s like the 997-generation and 992-generation Porsche 911 Sport Classic cars, the project features extensive customization, bespoke features, and shows off the incredible potential of Porsche Classic’s “Sonderwunsch” program.

Sport Grey Metallic paintwork, a double dome roof, a custom ducktail spoiler, Pepita houndstooth woven leather upholstery, and the engine, chassis, and brakes from a 996-generation Porsche 911 GT3 are some of the things that make the Classic Club Coupe special, but one of the most special aspects of the car is that it is a one-off. It was sold to a collector at the 75th Anniversary Porsche Auction held at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta, Georgia by Broad Arrow Auctions, and it was sold to a collector for a staggering $1.2 million. However with all of the historical celebration, customization, and collectibility this car has to offer, it’s any Porsche enthusiast’s dream to own.
