Revealed: 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo

After the unveiling of the new 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S earlier this year, the new 2021 911 Turbo Coupe and Cabriolet models have been revealed in full. The next-gen 911 Turbos will now see an increase of 32 horsepower over its predecessor for a total of 572 hp with 553 lb-ft of torque. Its acceleration is also stated to be 2.7 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than the previous generation. When it comes to the cabriolet, the 0 to 60 mph time is 2.8 seconds. The top speed is rated at 198 mph. Porsche notes that these power figures put the 2021 911 Turbo on par with the 2019 911 Turbo S.

Where does this added power come from? A lot of the enhancements that make it all possible for the 911 Turbo are also found in the 2021 911 Turbo S. This includes the engine’s displacement of 3,745 cc, symettrical VTG turbochargers, new air cooling system and piezo fuel injectors.

To handle the power, Porsche has a few upgrades for the 2021 911 Turbo. The track-width, for instance, has been increased in both the front and rear when compared to the previous generation. In the front, there’s an additional 1.65 inches of track width, while the rear sees an extra 0.39 inches. This is further complemented by the new 20-inch 255/35 tires.

Two different and new suspension options can be picked for the 2021 911 Turbo. While the standard suspension is an improvement of the previous iteration, the new and optional PASM Sport Suspension allows the car to ride 0.39 inches lower. Another new options for the new Porsche is the Sport Exhaust system, which can be optioned for the very first time in the 911 Turbo.

The 2021 Porsche 911 Turbos are available to be ordered now and are expected to be delivered in early 2021. The 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe price is $183,600 and the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet is priced at $183,600. These prices do not include the $1,350 delivery fee.
