The Porsche Taycan has become the hottest ticket in the German automaker’s lineup. Not only is it Porsche’s first fully electric modern model, it’s also lightning quick and has plenty of style to go around. But, creating an electric Porsche with 750 horsepower and a 2.6-second 0 to 60 mph time wasn’t an easy feat. Engineers, designers and testers worked tirelessly to bring the Taycan to life as we see it today. While we weren’t there to see everything come together, Porsche has the “Roads to Taycan” book that documents the model’s various stages of testing. This includes testing that took place in locations like South Africa, Sweden and Shanghai. Beautiful photos taken by Christopher Bauer, who has been a photographer for Porsche since 1985.
