The new 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS is the latest Porsche to bear the brand’s hallowed Rennsport name, and that name traces its roots to a legendary car, the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7, known for its powerful engine, ducktail spoiler, and ruthless, visceral dedication to on-track performance. The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS takes that ethos to the next level, with an incredible 518 horsepower coming from a naturally-aspirated flat-six engine. With a strong focus on remembering where it came from, Porsche offers the incredible new GT3 RS with a “Tribute To Carrera RS” package that pays tribute to the original Rennsport Porsche, and the first United States appearance of the car with the special package has been made for members of the media.

The package features detailing and wheels in Python Green, as well as a bespoke Porsche Design watch and special accessories. It also includes the standard Weissach Package improving performance and making the car as track-ready as possible. The next appearance of the stunning new Porsche will be made at the 12 Hours of Sebring race in Sebring, Florida from March 15 to March 18, and with a total MSRP of $312,550, it’s a true piece of automotive history in the making.
