On Saturday, December 14th, hundreds of exotic cars will be driven by their owners for charity. The annual South Florida Exotic Car TOY RALLY, benefiting Toys for Tots, celebrates its 19th anniversary of raising toys and money to provide smiles on the faces of underprivileged children during the holidays.
With the assistance and coordination of multiple law-enforcement agencies, a parade of the world’s most exotic vehicles (including Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Bugatti, Pagani, Bentley, Aston Martin, and many more!) will take to the streets, with the lineup of exotic cars stretching over 5-miles long.
This highly anticipated event fills up quickly and is widely known by exotic car owners as the signature exotic car event of the year. An amazing facet of the TOY RALLY is that exotic car owners get to drive their cars, not just park at a car show. Furthermore, this drive is on roads and highways shut down exclusively for the TOY RALLY, creating a distinctive and exciting experience.
One of the most unique features of the TOY RALLY as a charity event is that it is literally 100% for charity. Every toy and every penny raised is donated to the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. The TOY RALLY relies upon the generosity of the community, sponsors, supporters, volunteers, and participants who all come together in support of the event and its cause.
The TOY RALLY has received numerous awards, accolades, and recognition for the immense positive impact it has on the Toys for Tots program. This includes the United States Marine Corps “Commander’s Award”, as well as the United States Postal Service (USPS) designing a commemorative stamp for the TOY RALLY.
This year, the TOY RALLY starts at the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, stops at Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale, then continues to the ending location at the Goodyear Blimp facility. Awaiting at Goodyear will be members of the United States Marine Corps, ready to accept the mountain of toys from the participants.
Participants are required to register in advance with their exotic car, and each participant must bring a minimum of $100 worth of new, unwrapped toys to be donated as their ‘entry fee’. In addition, participants also bid on auction and raffle items to raise cash, which is also donated.
To date, the TOY RALLY has raised over 31,000 toys, and over $800,000 in cash, all donated for the kids.
