A total of 194 Porsche 993 GT2s left Stuttgart, with only 47 of these special cars being GT2-R models. Purchased new from the factory in 1996, it was immediately shipped to the US and was used to qualify for that year’s 24 Hours of Daytona. While it qualified, it did not race, and this signified the end of its competitive life. This two-owner car has been used for private track days and gentleman racing, with both owners treating it as the prized race car that it is. To Atlantis Motor Group’s knowledge, it has not suffered any major accidents, which again makes it unique among GT2 Race versions.
Subsequent to the dealership’s acquisition, they supervised a year-long, no expense spared full restoration, bringing it back to her original factory spec. The “boomerang” wing, which was added immediately upon its arrival to the US, as was done by every race team, is the only equipment not listed on the factory spec sheet (which the dealership has in their hands).
