The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ emerged as the ultimate expression of the Aventador lineage in 2018, crafted as a fitting finale for a model line that had defined Lamborghini’s flagship offerings since its 2011 debut. The designation combined “SV” for Super Veloce with “J” for Jota—a historic nomenclature reserved for Lamborghini’s most track-focused variants. This dedication to circuit supremacy was emphatically demonstrated when factory driver Marco Mapelli piloted a camouflaged Aventador SVJ to a production car lap record of 6:44.97.01 at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, eclipsing the previous record-holding Porsche 911 GT2 RS by more than two seconds.
This remarkable achievement was enabled by comprehensive technical improvements across every aspect of the Aventador’s architecture. The naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine was enhanced with titanium intake valves and optimized intake runners, delivering 759 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque—a 19 horsepower and 21 lb-ft increase over the previous SV model. The SVJ also showcased Lamborghini’s ALA (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva) system, which surpassed the capabilities first seen on the Huracán Performante. The exterior featured an intricate array of active aerodynamic elements, including a wider multilevel front splitter, broader rocker panels, sophisticated air extractors, and an adjustable rear wing. Production comprised 900 units of the SVJ, alongside 63 examples of the more exclusive SVJ 63 variant—named for the year Ferruccio Lamborghini founded the company in 1963—which featured additional exposed carbon fiber components and a distinctive carbon fiber roof panel, marking it as the ultimate incarnation of the Aventador platform.
This example of the exclusive Aventador SJV 63, offered at Broad Arrow Auctions Amelia sale on 7-8 March, is finished in an Ad Personam Nero Pulso Matte exterior ($16,800) featuring red “63” logos and accents. Its exterior finish is complemented by numerous matte carbon fiber elements from the front splitter to the roof, engine area, and the rear wing and diffuser. It rides on Dianthus Forged 20-inch front, 21-inch rear center-lock wheels finished in High Gloss Black housing vibrant red calipers. Inside, the cabin features Rosso Alala Alcantara upholstery ($17,870), enhanced by a multifunction steering wheel in full Alcantara with distinctive SVJ cross-stitching. The car’s desirable specification also includes numerous optional amenities including the Sensonum Premium Sound System, Front Lifting System, Lamborghini Telemetry, Visibility and Light Package, Travel Package, and Fully Electric Heated Seats with details in carbon fiber. Additional bespoke elements include an Ad Personam illuminated kickplate with red lighting, footplate in carbon fiber, and the exclusive Ad Personam SVJ Logo Verniciato (painted SVJ logo – $11,840). Displaying just 2,050 kilometers from new, this SVJ 63 combines the ultimate expression of Aventador performance with the virtually unlimited personalization capabilities of the Ad Personam customization program.
