The body of this Regera is made of red-tinted carbon fiber that brilliant shines in the sunlight. This material also helps reduce the car’s weight and add rigidity. Carbon fiber is also used to create the optional Tresex Aircore Carbon Wheels. What’s more, all of the Regera’s closures can open up on-demand with the press of a button through what Koenigsegg calls “Autoskin.”
Inside this Regera is a tan cabin with the optional French cross-stitching. Carbon fiber trim is also used as a contrasting material on the steering wheel, doors, and center console. Each of the 8-way electronically-adjustable memory seats provide comfort while the 9-inch infotainment center takes care of just about every other facet. For the driver, there’s a suite of technology within a finger’s reach that aids in their pursuit of either a relaxing or spirited drive. It’s within this cabin that the driver and passenger can experience true luxury at outrageous speeds.
At the heart of the Regera is a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 engine and electric propulsion system that combine to produce over 1,500 horsepower and over 1,475 lb-ft of torque. Mated to this powertrain is the groundbreaking Koenigsegg Direct Drive (KDD) transmission. When pressed for urgency, the Regera can sprint from 93 mph to 155 mph in 3.2 seconds, and run 0 to 249 mph in under 20 seconds.
