On Monday, February 27, 2017, ROUSH Performance welcomed a diverse variety of enthusiasts, media, social media influencers, ROUSH Road Crew members, customers, and potential customers to experience our latest top-tier Mustang – the 2017 ROUSH Stage 3 – on the world-renowned Sebring International Raceway in sunny Sebring, Florida.

The herd of RS3s performing on the track were brought down to Florida from the world’s largest ROUSH dealer, Tindol Ford, of Gastonia, North Carolina. Each of the four ROUSH Stage 3 Mustangs in attendance were equipped with a large variety of options, and were powered by a 670-horsepower ROUSH-Supercharged 5.0L engine. They also featured our 1.07g-capable ROUSH suspension components to guarantee a high-speed thrill ride in an American muscle car that handles like it’s on rails.
The “Hooked on Driving: Presented by ROUSH Performance” event was kicked off with ride-alongs, as each attendee was invited to jump in the passenger seat of an RS3 and dart around the track with Jack Roush Jr. or another professional driver.

Then, to allow attendees to experience the full capabilities of the vehicles, ROUSH encouraged guests to climb behind the wheel following their ride-along to drive the incredible RS3, with a capable instructor leading them through the track’s twists and turns. The full course at Sebring puts a vehicle through its paces on both tight turns and long, wide-open straights, so the drivers were able to become acquainted with the RS3’s street mannerisms in a controlled environment.
The RS3 proved its on-track prowess with ease, and one was even bought on-the-spot by an attendee, who completed the purchase and was able to drive his new ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang off the track that very day. We were excited to welcome him as a member of Team ROUSH!
