A 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass with an extraordinary provenance is set to be the star attraction at GAA Classic Cars’ upcoming auction from November 2nd to 4th, 2023. Built by none other than automotive design legend Chip Foose, this classic was a 40th birthday gift for country music superstar Tim McGraw.
The vehicle underwent a complete frame-off build in 2007 and was graced with a litany of high-performance upgrades and custom touches. Under the hood, the Cutlass is powered by a staggering LS7 Z06 engine that cranks out 505 horsepower. This beast of an engine is paired with a 4L60E Bowler Performance Transmission and a Currie 9″ rear axle, ensuring that this Cutlass is as quick as it is stylish.
Speaking of style, the car boasts a complete Hotchkis suspension with coil overs, custom paint, tucked bumpers, and a custom hood. Inside, the opulence continues with a leather interior meticulously crafted by Stitch Corp, a custom stereo system, and Baer 6 Piston Big Brakes for added safety. The car rides on 19″ and 20″ Foose custom wheels, and the exterior is beautifully accented by a Hartz cloth top.
With a Foose-built provenance and celebrity ownership, this 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass transcends the realm of classic cars; it’s an automotive icon and a collectible piece of Americana. Don’t miss the chance to own a car that epitomizes both high performance and the pinnacle of custom automotive artistry.
