Electric air travel is getting better and better each day.
It surprising to some to learn that there are multiple Rolls-Royce companies, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, and Rolls-Royce Holdings. The latter of the two has been around for 116 years and is an aerospace company that is best known for its incredible engines. Now, Rolls-Royce Holdings is adding a new type of engine to their repertoire, but this time it’s electric. Actually, they’ve had this engine working for a bit now in their Spirit of Innovation airplane. But now, this specific airplane has broken the record to become the World’s Fastest All-Electric Aircraft. The plane managed to hit a top speed of 345.4 mph over three kilometers, easily breaking the previous record of 132 mph. It should be noted that the plane did hit a maximum top speed of 387.4 mph, which Rolls-Royce Holdings thinks would make Spirit of Innovation the World’s Fastest All-Electric Vehicle. You can check the action out for yourself in the video up above.
