Richard Mille is best known as one of the most popular watchmakers in the world, with luxury examples of its complex timepieces reaching seven-figure prices. The infamous Swiss watch company has decided to focus its one-of-a-kind design and technology efforts on creating a new product for 2021, a mechanical fountain pen. Richard Mille is proud to announce the release of the RM S05, an exquisite luxury take on a quintessential writing instrument. Even though the newest release from Richard Mille comes in a smaller package, the engineers were still able to incorporate the same caliber technology used in watchmaking. The caliber RMS05 is present as a skeleton titanium movement with a mechanically retractable nib. The process of the retractable nib can be viewed from the top of the pen, where a transparent sapphire crystal displays the movement from the mechanism. The barrel of the RMS05 is created from Carbon TPT and features an 18k White Gold tip. The new 2021 Richard Mille RMS05 Mechanical Fountain Pen is currently available through an authorized dealer for the price of $105,000.
