Have some Bitcoin laying around? Here’s a way to spend it.
It’s hard to remember a time when cryptocurrencies were unheard of, but here we are, in a moment in time where Bitcoin is accepted at some of the most unexpected locations. SuperYachtsMonaco happens to be one of those locations and they’ve made an incredible sale utilizing the cryptocurrency.
On the yacht brokerage’s social media channels, SuperYachtsMonaco announced that they had sold the 40.2-meter (131-feet) Benetti ORYX entirely through Bitcoin. The brokerage facilitated the sale through BitPay.
The ORYX superyacht was built in 2013 and had its interiors updated by Francois Zuretti in 2018/19. She features five cabins that provide accommodations for 12 guests, two jacuzzis, plenty of space for entertaining across its four decks, and is quite beautiful to look at.
