Singer Vehicle Design, the globally renowned reimaginer of air-cooled Porsche 911s, is helping drive the future of American motorsport with a bold new vision for Willow Springs International Raceway. In partnership with CrossHarbor Capital Partners, Singer will co-own and co-develop America’s oldest permanent road course, transforming it into a world-class motorsports facility and luxury automotive hub for the next generation of driving enthusiasts.
Located in Rosamond, California, Willow Springs is poised to become a flagship destination for luxury car lovers, racers, collectors, and thrill-seekers. Singer’s key contribution will be the creation of its first-ever private members’ club, offering exclusive access to track days, curated driving experiences, and bespoke hospitality services. Membership will be extended to Singer clients and select automotive connoisseurs, offering unprecedented proximity to Southern California’s elite car culture.
Singer Vehicle Design is an American company that specializes in restoring and modifying Porsche 911s. It was founded in 2009 by Englishman Rob Dickinson, the former frontman of the rock band Catherine Wheel. The company is based in Los Angeles, California.
Singer’s Chief Strategy Officer, Mazen Fawaz, emphasized the brand’s deep roots at the track: “Willow Springs is an important part of California’s motorsport heritage for enthusiasts, and everyone with an automotive obsession. Singer has two decades of track days, racing, and development at Willow’s circuits. We are delighted to help make sure that it’s in safe hands and can be an even more impressive part of California’s car culture for the next seventy years. Its custodianship is a responsibility we are not taking lightly, and our partners could not be better suited to see it through.”
The reimagined Willow Springs Motorsport Campus will feature:
· Renovated road courses and safety upgrades with input from F1 veteran and designer Alex Wurz.
· On-site luxury car storage, detailing, and restoration facilities.
· A technology and R&D hub for manufacturers and race teams.
· A museum, enthusiast retail, and vibrant gathering space to celebrate California’s car culture.
· Track operations will be supported by Sonoma Raceway, ensuring top-tier motorsports experiences, while renowned planners Hart Howerton shape the off-track amenities and member experience.
“We are thrilled to begin a new chapter with such a beloved facility,” said Sam Byrne, co-founder of CrossHarbor Capital Partners. “We are committed to serving the community for decades to come and creating a space where all members of the car community can collectively share their enthusiasm for Willow Springs and motorsports. Along with Singer, we are collaborating with recognized and respected names within the auto industry and are excited to partner with them in pursuit of this definitive California experience.”
With Willow Springs’ legendary status and Singer’s commitment to craftsmanship and community, this bold revival is more than a racetrack upgrade—it’s a new chapter in American automotive heritage.
