The McLaren race car has been around for decades, but the McLaren road-going car was only introduced in the early 1990’s. It all started with Bruce McLaren’s dream to create the perfect race car. Thus, McLaren Motor Racing Team was created. Unfortunately, Bruce passed away at an early age and did not get to create the road-going McLaren he dreamt of. Years passed and McLaren’s race cars dominated the circuits, but no McLaren was found on the road. That is until the early 1990’s when the McLaren F1 was conceived.
