Top Gear is currently in the process of selecting their finalist for their “Performance Car of the Year 2017” award. To help them dwindle down the selection from 13 cars, Chris Harris puts in his two cents. Here is how the list has currently played out, with the cars that were not selected being crossed out:
Audi R8 Plus SpyderAudi RS3BMW M4 CS- Ford GT
- Honda Civic Type R
- Lamborghini Huracan Performante
Lexus LC500- McLaren 720S
Mercedes-AMG GT R(? didn’t say if this was coming through or not)- Mercedes-AMG E63
- Porsche 911 GT3
Volkswagen Golf GTI- Volkswagen UP GTI
So there we have it, the seven finalists contending for Top Gear’s coveted Performance Car of the Year award for 2017. Who will win? Who knows, but it seems like Harris has a soft spot for the Ford GT and McLaren 720S.
