A 70-piece mechanical tribute to Group B, built with motorsport credibility
Group B rally doesn’t need much romanticizing. From 1982 to 1986, motorsport was pushed to its extreme limits, with lightweight materials, minimal restraint, and drivers willing to take risks that would be unthinkable today. Those cars carved across mountain passes, forests, and deserts at unbelievable speeds, leaving behind photos and stories that still define rally culture decades later. That era is the foundation for the new Autodromo x Mobil 1 Group B Pegasus Edition, the second collaboration between the two brands following the quick sell-out of the Monoposto Mobil 1 Edition.

Autodromo’s connection to motorsport has always been more art-driven than nostalgic. Founded in 2011 by industrial designer Bradley Price, the brand built its reputation by studying how racing hardware was shaped by function, then translating that logic into watches that remain wearable today. The Group B case is one of Autodromo’s most recognizable designs, depicted by its slim proportions and early-1980s high-tech styling. In the Mobil 1 Pegasus Edition, that silhouette is showcased in a bi-metallic design, with a 39mm titanium capsule housed inside stainless steel. The result is lightweight on the wrist but visually powerful. A black DLC-coated integrated bracelet backs the motorsport theme, while the high-contrast dial draws directly from vintage rally tachometers. Power comes from the Miyota 9015 automatic movement, protected by a sapphire crystal and rated to 50 meters of water resistance.

The collaboration works because Mobil 1’s presence carries real motorsport weight. For over five decades, the brand has been a key part of racing culture across all categories, and its involvement here stretches beyond surface-level branding. The watch comes in a hand-crafted aluminum presentation box that mirrors the utilitarian inspiration behind the piece, and the bracelet can be easily swapped for a strap. Limited to just 70 examples and priced at $995, the Group B Pegasus Edition lands squarely in collector territory without losing everyday usability. It’s a watch built for enthusiasts who understand why Group B still matters.
