The release of the new Oil Pump Automaton Tourbillon derives purely from the fact that Jacob has many friends in the oil industry asking for a piece unique to their expertise. The 49.5mm case is available in Rose Gold, White Gold, and Titanium Black DLC. The dial features an oil-driven automaton mechanism that operates to rotate Double-Axis Tourbillon, while also charging the 60-hour capable power reserve. A manual-winding JCAM33 movement drives the grand complication, allowing the operation of the timepiece to be as stunning as the piece itself. The project illustrates a small picture of an industry that might be out of the norm for most, which is how Jacob & Co. continues to bridge the gap between the watch industry and the rest of the world.
