The partial skeletonized dial design allows for a closer look at the inner workings of the complex Tourbillon movement while the rest of the layout features intricate engravings of horses in motion. Powering the La Esmeralda Tourbillon is Girard-Perregaux’s in-house GP09600-1506 self-winding mechanical movement, which provides an impressive 50-hour power reserve while operating under a 30-meter water resistance. The true beauty lies in the caseback where Girard-Perregaux adds a color-matched engraved cover that opens to reveal an additional sapphire caseback with engravings to signify the limited-edition collection. Tying into the luxury look and feel, Girard-Perregaux completes the timepiece with a large-scale alligator leather strap and an engraved material matching triple folding clasp.
