While modern luxury watches differ in size, case shape, and color, all Swiss watchmakers celebrate festive trends with exclusive examples of their most popular pieces. The Chinese New Year proves to be an occasion in which brands like Girard-Perregaux save their very best creations. Inspired by the thoughts of energy, vitality, and prosperity., Girard-Perregaux is proud to unveil its new limited-edition Laureato Absolute Light & Fire. The release shares its debut with Laureato Absolute Light & Shade, offering a vibrant look that contrasts against its sibling’s dark grey shades.

The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Light & Fire presents a transparent 44mm case made from red YAG (a new polycrystalline material) and PVD-treated titanium. A skeleton dial exposes the inner workings of the watch, showcasing its memorizing tourbillon at the 12 o’clock position. The Laureato Absolute generates power from Girard-Perregaux’s in-house Calibre GP01800-1143, an octagonal skeletonized movement with no less than 55 hand-polished inner angles. Embodying its sports watch look and feel, the special edition Laureato Absolute comes fit on a black rubber strap with a fabric effect and PVD-treated titanium folding clasp. The new Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Light & Fire is limited to only 18 pieces and currently available for $99,600.
