Traditionally, wristwatches were created as tools for an array of professions during a time before modern-day technology, nowadays watchmakers highlight pieces using precious stones and materials. Grand Seiko is a watch company that proudly displays its roots by incorporating vintage designs and styles into each example. The new limited edition Grand Seiko SBGD207 is an elegantly styled timepiece from the Masterpiece Collection. The 43mm platinum case features a complete diamond set inner bezel and outer dial, while the Mother of Pearl inner dial compliments the white and green precious stones. A Grand Seiko 9R01 movement drives the exclusive timepiece, allowing for a 192-hour power reserve and 100-meter water resistance. The transparent back case presents a series of engravings including information about the watch, as well as signifying the exclusivity of the limited edition example. Grand Seiko finished its newest addition to the Masterpiece Collection using a large-scale contrasting green crocodile strap and three-fold clasp. The Grand Seiko SBGD207 is limited to 15 examples produced and available through an authorized dealer for the price of $185,000.
