Known for its historic involvement as a pioneer in the camera industry, the German brand Leica continues to use its expertise to expand its product line into other luxury markets. After a successful launch with its L1 and L2 watch models, Leica is proud to resume its horological journey with the release of its all-new ZM Monochrom Edition collection. The lineup features the new ZM 1 and ZM 2, which take shape as a chronograph and a GMT. The minimalist design of the Leica ZM Monochrom Edition removes all color, deriving design inspiration from the latest Leica M11 Monochrom camera.
Each Monochrom Edition watch presents a sophisticated 41mm circular case shape made from stainless steel and treated with a stealthy black PVD coating. Beneath the domed sapphire crystal lies a minimal high-strength black aluminum dial that displays its functions using black rhodium-plated, diamond-cut, and sandblasted markers. Both the ZM 1 and ZM 2 generate power from an in-house hand-wound movement from Leica. The Monochrom Edition watch strap is made of thick, black calf leather with a strong grain, identical to the leather cover of the Leica M11 Monochrom. The all-new Leica Monochrom Edition watch collection is now available through authorized retailers starting at $12,700.
